Ever had one of those days where everything feels “off,” and no amount of caffeine, silly cat videos, or even your favorite 80s playlist can snap you out of it? You might be surprised to learn how you hold your head and neck play a big part in that funk. Yep, posture isn’t just about standing up straight like your momma always said it’s about alignment, energy, and overall wellness.

Head Over Heels - For Good Posture

Your head weighs about as much as a bowling ball (about 10-12 pounds). When it’s in good alignment—stacked right over your spine—it is supported by the natural curves of the spine. But tilt it forward even slightly, and it’s like trying to hold a watermelon on a popsicle stick. Your neck, shoulders, and upper back start doing extra work, and the stress builds faster than the anticipation in a John Hughes movie.
